No, mehujahan nämä ovat, eivät värejä.
I dyed once more with Kool-Aid, this time Grape. I was very disappointed, Grape has almost no color, and I kept ripping up packages and strewing them on top of my wool to get at least some definition beyond purplish grey. I also opened up a Switchin' Secret package - that's where the olive and icy blue are from. The wool is called Icicle (from my favorite source), a luxe blend of 70/30 kid mohair and wool. Spins like a dream. Mystery juice must have made those olive and icy blue speckles. When spinning I enhanced the olives by adding some olive nubs. I then plied everything with baby blue serger yarn. This was my first time in plying (succesfully). I didn't think I would like plied yarn, but I do!

Then I plied some more yarns. Left 10+ colors of merino plied with orange serger yarn, at right kool-aid mint green from last week's juice pot which I plied with thin pale green machine knitting wool yarn, and in the center the abovementioned grape.
My hobby has now definitely turned into a madness. How so? Because I'm not even interested in knitting anything with my yarns, I just love to make them. I guess I'll have to start selling them, maybe on ebay?

Tämä harrastus on muuttumassa jo hulluudeksi. Jaa mitenkä? Kas, kun en enää edes mieti langalle käyttötarkoitusta, vaan teen lankoja tekemisen ilosta. Kohta alkaa olla nurkat täynnä. Hmph, täytyypä tutustua ebayhin myyjän vinkkelistä.
